This book analyzes some aspects of the socio-spatial differentiation inherent to the Brazil/Bolivia Border Zone (Mato Grosso do Sul/Province of Germ n Busch). Considering the intra-urban scale, it specifically sought to explore the articulations in the economic and social division of the city of Corumb /MS, which together with Lad rio/MS and the Bolivian cities of Puerto Su rez and Puerto Quijarro make up the aforementioned border zone. The intention was to investigate the balance of power produced through the negotiations of individuals who live and reside in the border town (Corumb /MS). In other words, the objective of the work is to discuss the "oxymoronization" that characterizes the Corumb territory.
