Good inexpensive dictionary for students of the italian language

I purchased this particular dictionary after having used the similar The Oxford New French Dictionary for several years. Given its price, its the perfect companion for students of Italian who need a small, inexpensive yet thorough dictionary. I use it mostly in class and while working away from my computer. It may not compare to more expensive dictionaries in terms of completeness, but for the price its an excellent choice. More advanced students may consider Oxford-Paravia Italian Dictionary which is of course more expansive (and expensive!)
