My favorite Dictionary--Best Value!

I feel simply silly reviewing a dictionary, but I am a teacher, so I guess it's ok. I love this dictionary! I've used it since high school and now I've got one in my classroom. It has clear definitions and also synonyms listed for many words (the Thesaurus is "built in" to the dictionary, not a separate section). It is a convenient size and if you are careful to not crack the binding, it will last for years. I use one in my classroom with my 4th through 6th graders and it's their favorite dictionary too!

Whether you are writing a paper or a novel, this reference tool is great for finding all the words you'll need to write effectively. Everyone should own a thesaurus, and this one is definitely worth the buy.

Excellent

I think this is one of the best and easiest thesauruses I have ever had. Not only does it have the definition but all the alternate words you can use are right behind it. I think it's EXCELLENT!

Great compact reference

I use this dictionary daily and it is very valuable. Occasionally, I've run across words that aren't in it, but that's to be expected from a paperback. Most combination references list the thesaurus entries separately at the bottom of the page. This book integrates the listings together, all the material on a word is found in one place. This is the best compact reference I've ever used. It has greatly enhanced both my reading and writing.

This is a real bargain!

This is a very good combination of Dictionary and Thesaurus -actually it's a short version of the regular Oxford Dic & Tes. . Very useful - and reasonably cheap!
