The story of a latter-day cattle drive

Dora Birtles presented the story of a 1600 mile cattle drive in Australia early in WW II in reaction to a feared Japanese invasion. Coming from Texas, this reviewer easily got into the story, where ordinary people lived out something that all of us probably dreamed of doing--becoming cowboys and moving a herd of cattle. This book is heartily recommended for fans of westerns, war history, and Australiana.
