Born and raised in Bangalore, India I narrate my story as a software developer who is deployed as a contractor in a Bank. In this true story, I focus primarily on the work culture, the relationship between contractors, full time employees, and client managers and also provide some tips, fallacies and dangers of working as a contractor. Along the way I expose some of the disturbing politics, twisted control-games and information withholding that is a common theme today. Everything is based on my personal experience and I have no intention of clouding anyone's judgment. Even though the story is written like a Novel, my goal is to instill awareness about the work culture in an Indian IT industry and force some improvements for the sake of the people who intend to pursue IT as a career. I conclude my story by going in depth and finishing off my experience at that bank. The story unveils the many facets of this industry which can only be visible to the very experienced of people, who have had the privilege (or ignominy) of spending a decade in this ever changing industry. The unethical work culture in this industry is quite alarming and needs a special mention. I intend this story to be a sort of an Eye Opener for all parties concerned. In this special paperback edition I have combined both my books, "The Other Face of Indian IT" and "Childhood Memories."
