In the year of our Lord 1157AD, three Celtic Monks, Dagda, Aedan and Brennus set off on a quest across medivel Europe in the hopes of preventing a calamity that would destroy their world. Possessed of certain 'gifts' the monks are forced to hide from the Church to avoid being branded as 'Heretics' or worse, 'Witches'. The Monks soon learn that there are 'others' who are hungry for power and possess the same gifts. These 'others' are intent on bringing ruin upon their world on the promise of leading the new order that would arise from the ashes.Dagda, Aedan and Brennus are joined by Moreau, a disgraced Templar Knight and a ragtag band of outlawed 'others' as they fight a running battle that leads them to the catacombs beneath St Peters itself.
