Much more than I expected!

I was expecting only a reading plan with some study guides. And this book certainly has that. But the coordination of scriptures from different parts of the Bible is outstanding. Frankly, I don't know how they managed to do that so well. Each day has a reading from the Old Testament, another from the New Testament, a passage from Psalms, and a short snippet from Proverbs. Their comments are well thought out, and stimulate further reading. There is a section at the beginning to give a summary of each Bible book, including author, date written, content and theme. But the greatest value of the book is its ability to lead you through a daily walk through the Word of God. I bought my copy last November, and have been buying more as gifts for relatives and friends. Highly recommend!

Daily Bible Reading Just Got Better

The One Year Bible Companion/Questions and Answers is one of the few "helps" that I have found that actually helps! It takes the daily readings, helps analyze them, stirs interest in the meaning and application of the passages, and provides insights not found anywhere else. This year's reading has been my most enjoyable and productive. I vote YES on the "Companion."

Makes reading the Bible do-able

I'm a new Christian and I got this book to help me read the Bible in an organized fashion. I've been contemplating buying a One Year Bible but I didn't want to buy another Bible and this seemed like a good compromise. Before I got this I was becoming overwhelmed by the amount of reading I was doing but this book simplied everything. And it has helpful little notes to explain the more confusing passages. I'm reading less everyday but getting more out of it thanks to this book.
