The phrase "One Another" appears in the Bible over 250 times. If it appears that many times in the New Testament, I believe there must be a message there and an important one.Good relationships are essential to a healthy life, a healthy family, and a healthy world. There are many sources we can use to improve our relationship skills. We can learn from the people we see around us. Who do you know who everyone likes and who makes everyone around them feel special? We can watch them and ask them to help us with our ability to relate to people. You can go to the library or to the bookstore and find shelves of books on building relationships. People used to write letters to the local paper's advice columnist, asking personal questions about how to deal with specific situations. Of course, we used an alias. You certainly couldn't air your dirty laundry in public. Today, some just put it out there on social media for the world to know all your personal problems, and you can be sure you will receive advice, "lots of advice." Now you can visit websites specifically designed to help you develop relationships. Who knows -you may meet your soulmate, spouse, or others with common interests who can become lifelong friends. It's not perfect, actually; some have met stalkers or serial killers, so where do we turn for advice on relationships? The best source is one that has been around for thousands of years, the Bible The Bible's primary goal is to assist us in developing a personal relationship with our creator and teaching us how to relate to those who are created in HIS image. I teach that the cross that represents our Lord and the price HE paid for my salvation has two beams: a vertical beam that points to the heavens and represents our relationship to God, and a horizontal beam that represents our arms reaching out to people, putting our arms around them, and loving on them. Hopefully, this little book will help you to build those relationships by learning to "Love One Another, Forgive One Another, Serve One Another, Encourage One Another, Greet One Another, and Pray for One Another." So, join me as we seek to develop that relationship with our Lord and with the people He puts on our path and in our hearts.
