An extremely well researched novel, almost as if the author had inside information. Authentic, nearly a travel journal, providing background into the lives the Resistance workers led during WWII. Publishing house should have proofread the novel better, but it reads nearly like an ESL work, fitting in with the French setting and terminology. Having just visited this area of France and the Resistance Museum in Grenoble, it meant more to me than it would have otherwise. A good combination of sensuousness, danger, and realism.
Paris in wartime

The Olive Branch lives up to its billing. A Tale of the French Resistance. It is visual, sensual and packed with emotion. You find yourself rooting for this young woman and her physician husband as they work together to rescue the oppressed in their country. It has everything it takes to make a good story--emotion, desire, romance, history, and gives the reader a virtual tour of the French countryside. I highly recommend it to the younger generation who may not have learned that one person really can make a difference. D. H. Clair, author of The House on Slocum Road - wwwdahrisclair.com
