Great Tales

I really enjoyed this book. If it wasn't a biography then it would be a great novel. Covers Lightoller's life from a young deckhand, thru multiple shipwrecks including the Titanic and later life to the end of WW2. This isn't a book just about the Titanic. That is only covered in one section of the book. So if you're looking for a purely Titanic book this isn't it. If you like sea adventures then this is great reading. Perhaps more of a guy's book in that respect.

Compelling story of survival

This biography of the only senior officer to survive the sinking of the Titanic was so exciting I could hardly put it down! What a hero Lightoller was -- repeatedly throughout his life -- not just on the Titanic sinking. How anyone could survive all the dangers this man went through is a compelling story that almost anyone should enjoy. I highly recommend it!
