A pleasure of words and sights

My great niece loves nothing more than to be read to, and she loves this book the most! The story may not be the most important part right now to a 2 1/2 year old, as she is constantly pointing out favorite details of these wonderful illustrations, but the words will be in her heart and waiting for her when she begins to read.

From the beautiful cover to the exquisite pictures, this book has it all. Not only it is such a wonderful story for your favorite child, but also it is a story adults can enjoy. It is especially appropriate as we approach summer. . . featuring the "ocean"...A true gem!

Amazing, Charming Tale That Inspires And Encourages Kids!!

What a gem! This book is a fantastic find that encourages kids to believe in themselves and to let go of their fears, and then they can conquer the world. The rhyme is easy to follow and makes for light reading. My younger kids won't let me put the book down and insist that I read it to them many times over before going to bed. And my older child reads it until she falls asleep. What a wonderful story, filled with beautiful pictures. My kids can't wait for her Tadpole series of books to be released! Nor can I! If only more authors were in-tune with the children of the world, our community would be a better place to live. Keep writing, Basia!!

It's an extremely enjoyable book.

A very easy understandable book that gets it's message across in the most charming way. It's the type of book that a parent can read over and over to their child without losing their attention. I recommend it.

A book that captures immediate attention of children!

This book by Basia Hoffman is captivating for young children. Children are drawn to the book and the story quite easily. More importantly, not only are children initially attracted, but they retain and sustain this attraction long after their initial experience. (i.e., they beg for more!)
