Excellent book and worthwhile read!

This is one of the most profound parts in this book that is factually true: "Wallace's reasons for wanting to introduce the Great Seal onto the American currency were based on his belief that America was reaching a turning point in her history and that great spiritual changes were imminent. He believed that the 1930s represented a time when a great spiritual awakening was going to take place which would precede the creation of the one-world state." - Michael Howard, The Occult Conspiracy, p.95 To the person who says it was riddled with errors but yet admits he does not know a lot about secret societies and the occult should take this book more seriously. It takes a lot of courage and risk to write about this often misunderstood and untalked about subject that goes on every day. The people who are victims need to be redeemed and a book like this can do it. It is sad that the people in real power do not care about the general public but only about their own agendas, feelings and ambitions. This is why we have wars and deceptions. Really to those who truly understand the inner workings of the people in power should not be surprised about any of this. There is so much more than this book covers but I give Mr. Howard great support in what he does. Very few people even in church either believe or want to deal with what goes on underneath the veil of the surface of what is revealed to the world.

a truly illuminating book

Howard presents a convincing case for occult influences in the world from ancient times to the present. He starts from Egypt and shows how both white and black occult forces have influenced politics from ancient times to the present. Howard shows that history may really be a war between the great white brotherhood;magicians who work for the light and the illuminati: black magicians who work for the forces of darkness. While David Icke presents the machinations of the illuminati, the positive work of the great white brotherhood is largely ignored. Skeptics of course would ridicule such things, but the evidence is there for anyone to see. These skeptics wonder that if the illuminati are so powerful why havent they conquered the world? If Hitler was an agent of the illuminati then why didnt he win the war? Most conspiracy theorists can't answer that because they either ignore or dont know about the influence of the great white brotherhood. The next time you see positive books on the occult and other books that tell the truth about the world and the illuminati, you can be sure the great white brotherhood is either inspiring such writers or have a direct hand in it. Howard alludes to the fact that the forces of light will eventually win this war. Let's hope its soon.

A good place to start exploring.

This book provides some interesting theories and some good beginning info about the various secret and not-so secret societies. However, it needs to show more clearly where some of the information is coming from. It's one thing to say, so and so was a mason or whatever, but where did this come from? How do you know? The flow is a little dis-jointed and scattered but it holds a reader's interest. It definelty gives some good background and will pique your curiosity to learn more. Coupled with some of Graham Hancock's stuff and you will come away with a really new perspective on history.

Rumour is not always wrong

Precious book which provides factual insight into the origins, aims and machinations of secret societies. Book is more profound than its insinuating title would suggest. A must read for all rosicrucians, masons and would-be templars. This is a non-fiction edition of Foucault's Pendulum!
