An old book worth reading for many reasons

I suppose it is pretty silly to review a book of this age, but I loved it so much it's going on my list of books worth reviewing. The language is wonderful and it's hard to believe that someone with such a range of interests and writing ability would be found in the ranks of the pioneers.
