The Nighmaric Saga Double Feature: The Birth of Persephone
Cassandra has three goals: survive college, eat her daily corn muffin, and keep her head down.
Then a transport falls out of the sky, and reality stops making sense.
Her best friend, Lillia, is infected with something that is not a disease. It is ancient, intelligent, and searching for a vessel.
It just found one kind enough to say yes.
As the infection tears through the city, stranger changes begin spreading in Cassandra's wake.
Families become different families. Familiar streets rearrange themselves. People disappear without anyone remembering they ever existed.
Cassandra never notices.
To her, the world has always been that way.
But Persephone notices.
Reborn through Lillia and unleashed upon a new reality, Persephone remembers destroyed civilizations, dead worlds, and horrors beyond mortal comprehension.
Yet Cassandra is something even a cosmic god cannot explain: an ordinary college student who should not exist, surrounded by changes no one else can see.
Cassandra has no idea she has become a critical piece in a cosmic conflict already in motion.
Persephone has no intention of letting the mystery go.
When a girl who should not exist collides with a god who cannot be stopped, reality does not bend. It fractures.
The Birth of Persephone collects The Fractured Girl and The Fractured Blonde, combining Episodes One and Two of The Nightmaric Saga into the complete origin story of Cassandra and Persephone.
Enter a dark science-fiction horror story of alien infection, fractured reality, cosmic gods, impossible monsters, and the friendship that gave birth to Persephone.
Witness the birth of a god, and the anomaly she cannot escape.
