Filled with interesting facts

The team started in 1903 and this book takes us through the history of the team to the present time. In 1903, the National League team and American League teams wanted to be together so they put a new team in New York. This small team became what is now known as the Yankees. They were not very good when they started playing, but the fans still liked to go to the games. Some of the players, on their own, were really, really good but the Yankees had trouble as a team. This book tells about the things that happened as the Yankees became who they are. We got to read about Babe Ruth, how the Yankees built themselves up, and we even saw the team when they were bad. The Yankees got better and better and became a team who was a legend. Even though I am a Boston Red Sox fan, I liked reading "The New York Yankees" a lot.
