Look....I hate most forms of vegetable matter..BUT!,..I have had the PLEASURE of sampling Janet's dishes on many occasions and to my surprise they weren't all that disgusting,..on the contrary, I enjoyed the heck outta them.Great book.

Being a new stay at home mom - I am looking for quick and easy ways to prepare healthy meals. The New Vegan delivers just that! The book has so many different kinds of recipes. My husband is new to vegan as well, and for a Texas country boy, he has grown to enjoy the meals as well!

Janet Hudson's The New Vegan is a pleasant scrumpious food search for those who cook(or just ordinary people that enjoy cooking like me)that want to become vegan- veggie meats sources may be found in resources such as PETA, or online- try MAH WAH Vegetarian Foods for one- much to choose from- and all vegan! That Shagbark Hickory syrup was a challenge, but if you search online, try Hickory Works.com- you can find that syrup there! Many rice,soy,and nut cheeses are available in all the "traditional" favors...including mozzarella, cheddar, caraway jack, and more- Whole Foods Markets, Jimbos, and Henrys (in California)as well as a ton of other stores carry non-casein vegan cheeses if you do not make your own...Bonterra and Frei Vineyards produce vegan wines...quite tasty...sure, I had to do some research, but the little time it took to paid off in big rewards- fresh, fabulous and fun foods!

Easy to prepare and very diverse...I have made the Dolmas with Cucumber Dressing and everyone never knew the dish was vegan! The torta sandwich was good, Nina's Vegan Spaghetti was out of this world and my juicer has never gotten so much action! Highly recommend!
