Sitting On The Three-Legged Stool

Rick Rodgers, in this brief handbook, has simplified the investment jungle that a typical layperson faces. Whether one is approaching retirement or looking toward the distant future, this book creates a wonderful guideline for correct decision making. The description of investment diversification should be a must read for all those whose investment decisions will make retirement a dream or a nightmare! Mr. Rodgers' deft handling of a very dry subject, complete with illustrations, holds the reader's attention. I wish him and all those seriously contemplating retirement planning to "invest" a few hours and a few dollars on this nice, little tome!

Excellent Guide to Plan Your Retirement

I found the book loaded with practical advice for planning a retirement. Other guides I've read were either at a level too high to be of value or to deep for me to take time to read. I enjoyed the tie between information, advice and case studies that brought it all home. I was able to read the entire book and understand all topics including those of little interest to me. I'm now fixed on rolling my traditional IRA into a Roth in 2010. The book is timely and precise based on today's tax regulation so I suggest not delaying your purchase, there's bound to be changes coming. I believe Rick's prepared us for this with his forward-looking planning advice. Thanks!

As a knowledgable investor, I was initially intrigued by the author's clever title. As a bona fide baby boomer, I recognize that the "retirement game" has inextricably changed dramatically , especially for the younger populace.Rick has afforded all of us an opportunity to utilize a three pronged approach to SENSIBLE retirement planning. The section on how and when to take retirement distributions was particularly valuable to me.Employing Rick's R/D factor will facilitate eluding unnecessary taxes yet maintain a comfortable life style. A Lay Man's Approach To Retirement Planning

This book presents in "Lay Man's" language the best retirement planning, financial planning, and tax strategies, I have read. I would not attempt to review Rick Rodgers book. I would rather encourage those planning retirement, those who have reached retirement, and yes, for those just over retirement, A MUST READ!
