The New Normal

By Z K Woods

All that ever mattered to Fayette has been her brother, Milo, her only companion in their empty world ravaged by bitter cold. No matter how much hunger gnawed at them, between her practical curiosity and his devotion to Mother Nature, their bond kept them warm and alive.

That is, until Milo doesn't return home one day.

For the first time, Fayette finds herself alone, with heavily armed beasts invading their forest. Suddenly, the outside world is breaking down her door, and a new pit nestles at the bottom of her stomach: terror.

Determined to find her brother, Fayette sets out beyond the woodland fence, teaming up with a notorious and vengeful group of teenagers, the Fierce.

However, the world and its monsters are desperate, cruel, and hungry, with eager jaws poised to strike. The closer Fayette gets to finding Milo, the more she unravels about their sinister plan for 'evryes' like her.

And they're already getting their hands dirty.
