Love the movie, unfortunately the DVD failed an hour in so we couldnt finish it

Not totally unexpected when buying a used DVD, but disappointing. The movie itself is great though, one scary scene of Pippi's dad getting swept overboard at the beginning, which I would skip for my young kids, but the rest is very silly and musical. Pippi is a strong character who exhibits both whimsey and kindness.
