The Never-Ever Box
When Eli finds a mysterious wooden box tucked away in the corner of his school's lost-and-found, he doesn't know it will change everything. Inside the box are marbles-but not just any marbles. Each one seems to glow with a feeling, a memory, or something that can't quite be explained.
As Eli takes the box home and begins to explore its contents, the marbles begin unlocking quiet, powerful moments from his past-especially moments connected to his older brother, who is no longer around. Each marble brings something back: a smell, a laugh, a memory, a message.
Eli doesn't understand how the box works, and maybe he doesn't need to. What matters is what it gives him: a way to remember, to feel less alone, and to understand that love doesn't disappear just because someone is gone.
In the end, the marbles vanish-but not the connection. Eli finds a handwritten note in his pocket, in his brother's handwriting:
"Still here. Still yours."
And maybe, just maybe, the box isn't empty after all.
