In today's era, people neither have much time nor patience. Short story has now become the most preferred genre. It gives us essence of the fruit (topic) in very little time. The Nectar just like the extract of any flower or fruit which we want in our life. There are 50 anecdotes on different topics, issues. Some are based on the burning issues of present days. Some are related to social and family life. Some are related to humanity, provoked to serve the people.
The short stories which have found a place in this collection have also been much discussed and appreciated. An attempt has been made to depict the problems that have to be faced in everyday life. Along with the double standards of politics, it includes short stories depicting social distortions, ironies of life. There is subtle thinking at some places and sarcasm at others. All of them are presented with a message in themselves. To underestimate any of them would be injustice to that work. I have always tried not to let the significance of literature be tarnished. The desired goal of literature is not achieved by merely writing imaginary unreal things and making people happy.
