And The Warders Series continues with book 4, The Necrotic Knight. As the title might suggest, there is a bit of magic surrounding the dead. Being part of a series, reading the first books will help in knowing who and what the characters are. In the previous book, The Warders defeated a powerful Chaotic Order sorceress. Now they have a task involving The Chaotic Order again--a task that will take readers into the world of the undead. The cast of characters continues with elves, dwarves, mages, and now a Necrotic Knight and a Necromancer too. The author has quite an imagination to create this magical world of spells, even ones that can reanimate dead beings. How will the Warders prevent a war between the living and the undead? With engaging story-telling, the author kept my interest high with suspense, mystery, and twists and turns in the plot as the characters endeavor to save the world from war. The narrator, Michelle Babb, does an excellent job of giving characters their unique voice, making for an enjoyable listening experience. I enjoyed the book and look forward to listening to any other books in this series. I received a complimentary copy of the audiobook and was not required to write a review. The opinions are my own.
