"The Naranjo Saga" spans multiple generations over three books. In the first book, "Orange Man", Mateo Naranjo's story begins in the American Southwest as a slave. He is entirely helpless to his situation and then moves to self-determination.
In the second book, "Pumpkin Mountain", Domingo Naranjo's story begins with his friendship with Poe P'in, the Pueblo medicine man who was the architect of the largest and most successful 1680 Pueblo Revolt, which drove the Spaniards out of the area for more than a decade.
In the third book, "Pueblo Traitor", Josephillo Naranjo completely turns his back on his Pueblo brethren by siding with the Spaniards to squash the final - The Third Pueblo Revolt.
