In the sleepy, beautiful town of Napa, the gateway to the famous wine country, witnesses a rare rape and killing. After a bright, attractive young girl leaves Napa to become a prominent lawyer in San Francisco, there are no more murders. Upon her return about eight years later, the kidnapping, rape, and killing of young Hispanic girls increased intensity. The Sheriff's department, along with the FBI, cannot stop these senseless, brutal killings.

One woman, MaryBeth McCarthy, returns to the city of Napa to open her law practice and soon finds herself a target of the deranged killer.

Complicating her endeavors, she finds herself entangled in a love affair that could cost her life.
