During the early-morning hours of 1898 in the small community of Gas City, Indiana, a strange, mournful sound of thirteen bell tolls was heard coming from the high school's bell tower. How the tolling could be accomplished inside a locked building was not known. At the same time, the body of a young man, a recent high school graduate, was discovered.
