Mam Adou was a happy man when Siya accepted his proposal for marriage. However, before they could even inform their parents, the nobles chose Siya to be used as a virgin sacrifice to the snake with seven heads. Siya accepted her fate, but Mam Adou did not and tried to convince Siya to abandon her decision, but she would not. Long ago, the founding fathers of the Empire had made a sacred oath to sacrifice a virgin girl to the snake every year. In return, the snake god provided them with gold and also joined the army to fight their enemies. In the dicey situation that Mam Adou finds himself, he must decide between his own interest and the interest of the Empire. On the one hand, if he kills the snake, the Empire will suffer numerous calamities and he himself will risk being summarily executed by the King. On the other hand, if he does not, then the snake will kill the one person in the world he loves and cares so much about. The Mystery of the Snake with Seven Heads is a historical novel set in the Ancient Ghana Empire which existed between the 8th and the 14th Century. It suggests that a huge cache of gold hoarded from Ancient Egypt is still buried and hidden somewhere in West Africa in a treasure house.
