The Mysterious Firefly is a sequel to The Mysterious Icicle. School is out for the summer and the gang of seven are hitting the road with their parents for a baseball tournament. After the "Icicle" episode, everyone is looking for a relaxing mini-vacation at a ranch near San Antonio in between baseball games. The plot unfolds as the seven kids decide to take a hike after dinner on one of the ranch's nature trails. While they are enjoying their walk, fireflies begin to glow all around them. A lively discussion on lightning bugs turns into a playful tussle between the girls and one of the triplets. The light-hearted scuffle is interrupted. A stranger out of nowhere appears.
