The Murder of John Paul I

On August 26 1978 Associated Press said it all. "Cardinal Luciani's election is a signal to the world the Church is steering a course from traditionalists who claim it is advancing too quickly toward progressives who claim it is advancing too slowly." The Murder of John Paul I is as much about the man he was, as it is about his death. As a bishop in northern Italy he had played a major role in promoting labor unrest triggered by Paul VI's edict Populorum Progressio - every man a just wage - which eventually gave rise to the Communist Party in the Italian polls. Then there was that time he told a seminary graduating class: "We have made of sex the greatest of sins, whereas, in itself, it is nothing more than human nature and not a sin at all." Surely more than enough to arouse the little grey cells of those in CIA headquarters in McClean Virginia and those in the Vatican Curia in Rome. One doesn't have to rely on things he did before he was elected to know this man. The record of his papacy is online today. Concerning the issue of women priests which today, a half-century later, draws not much more from Pope Francis than: "Never. Not on my watch!"; in his Sunday Angeles September 10, 1978, John Paul I told the world where he stood on women priests: "God is the Father, more so, the Mother!" Concerning other issues, in his 3rd audience, he declared: "Ubi Lenin, ibi Jerusalem!" "Where Lenin is, there is Paradise!" 'Jerusalem' being 'Paradise' in the Hebrew Bible. Aside from being the greatest Marxist the world has ever known; Lenin was first to legalize homosexuality and grant Jews and other ethnics unrestricted parity. Then there was his most widely known threat when elected. When Albino Luciani walked out of the conclave onto the papal balcony in August 1978, SYNTEX stock soared. The first Catholic contraceptive pill geared for production. A Pope who believed sex was intrinsic to unions regardless of procreation. We all know where the procession of frozen doctrinal conservatives who followed him into the papal palace have stood on that issue. Then one has his 4th audience. With Jimmy Carter about to cut off aid to Somoza and the Marxist Sandinistas pounding on the doors of Nicaragua, John Paul I struck directly at the basic tenet upon which the United States had been founded: "Private Property is not an absolute right. No one is justified in keeping for oneself what one does not need, while others lack necessities of life." The CIA feared if Nicaragua fell to the rebels, Marxism would spread to all of Central America. The United States would be looking at a half-dozen mini-Cuba(s) sitting in its backyard. Yet his enemies did not have to wait for his 4th audience. When the avowed Marxist Albino Luciani, promising to lift restraints unfairly placed upon the everyday lives of innocent people by man-made doctrine, was elected, it struck a nerve of shattering proportions in the CIA and rightwing factions in the Church. Driven by a fusion of secular and ecclesiastical motive, fundamental to their very existence, they plotted together to move the pro-America, anti-communist, pro-capitalistic, doctrinal conservative, Polish cardinal into the papal palace in Rome... Insofar as this work presents compelling evidence linking prominent statesmen and ranking prelates of the Roman Catholic Church to the murders of John Paul I and his allies in the Marxist movement in the western world, be aware that it was the sworn duty of these men, imposed upon them by the laws of their nations and principles of their faith, to head off what they saw as a dangerous slide to the left... Though he didn't know him as a pope, Lucien Gregoire is the only biographer of Albino Luciani to have known him as a man.
