A very nice little anthology of mummy tales. There is also an interesting introduction by the editor. My spousal unit is extremely fond of mummy stories, so hopefully can round up all the anthologies eventually, this being the first. There aren't that many mummy tales according to such eminent short story scholas as Mike Ashley, either. Not so popular these days, presumably, as most of these are pretty old, barring the last few. "Why," replied the Count, very much astonished, "I am little more than seven hundred years old! My father lived a thousand, and was by no means in his dotage when he died." 3.5 out of 5 has spoken to the Brother of the Sun,' cried Ombos in evident perturbation. 'He must be of the Blood Royal in his own tribe, or he would never have dared to do so!' 'Otherwise,' added a person whose dress I recognized as that of a priest, 'he must be offered up in expiation to Amon-Ra immediately.' No beers, either. 3.5 out of 5 Mummies are scary when they don't stay in the same place. 3.5 out of 5 Flaxman encounters a mummy. 3 out of 5 Becoming Pharaoh plotting. 3 out of 5 Monster faking attack. 3 out of 5 No cradle snatching with a 2000 year age difference, sorry dear. 3.5 out of 5 Isis mummy expiration. 4 out of 5 Pyramid duel and stuck like an Egyptian. 3.5 out of 5 Katebit kiss kiss. 3 out of 5 From a mummy, means you in heap of trouble, signor. 3.5 out of 5 Mummy unwinding. 3.5 out of 5 Till death do us part a bit hard to take with this eternal life serum, thanks. 3.5 out of 5 Mardi Gras with too many bandages and not enough croc hunters. 4 out of 5 Wife, Mummy? 2.5 out of 5 Midwestern Egypt. 3 out of 5
