The Mountain of Good Intentions: A Gentle Read-Aloud Fable

By Christopher Muhr

A song changed everything.

High on a mountain of good intentions, a tree of good deeds grows-its branches filled with leaves of happy thoughts. Among them, three birds of sweet song take flight, carrying their melodies to three kings of raging war-that would change everything.

What follows is a gentle, rhythmic fable about peace, transformation, and hope-written to be read aloud and shared in quiet moments together.

More than just a story, The Mountain of Good Intentions creates space for connection-inviting parents and children into a calm, meaningful moment at the end of the day.

Inspired by timeless themes of peace and restoration, this story gently explores the longing for harmony, hope, and lasting peace.

At the end, you'll find a short letter for parents from the author and illustrator, sharing how the first telling of this story grew into the book you now hold. You'll also find a thoughtful note from the publisher, reflecting on its themes and offering a quiet invitation to pause and reflect.

This book is designed to be read slowly, remembered deeply, and returned to often.

Bring peace, purpose, and connection into your bedtime routine-and let it echo long after the story ends.
