The Mountain Hares (Bunny and Hare Series)

Ando, Brandy, Karli, and Ranger become experienced in the West Mountains. They call themselves the Mountain Hares and build shelters in Waterfall Valley. They decide to explore the Middle Mountains during the spring, summer, and fall. They talk with other animals about their venture and agree not to go to the dangerous North Mountains. They finish exploring the Middle Mountains early, decide to go into the North Mountains, and cross over the crest to the east side. They are blocked by an avalanche and cannot get back. A search team is sent to find them, but does not return. A second search team is sent and finds two of the Mountain Hares, who know nothing about the first search team. The first search team finds one of the Mountain Hares, who knows nothing about the other Mountain Hares. Strange things begin to happen as the search teams search for the Mountain Hares and each other. They fear the worst as winter comes to the North Mountains.
