It is over before it starts.

If you are expecting the book "Mists of Avalon" by Marion Zimmer Bradley, then you are bound to be disappointed. What can you stuff in a three-hour presentation? Everyone has a different idea of the characters and places. The movie itself was an intriguing production. I especially like the inclusion of the song "The Mystic Dream" by Loreena McKennitt, as I have many of her albums. The photography was excellent. Background music did not overwhelm the dialog. We not only get a new story from the book but a few anomalies. We catch Igraine (Caroline Goodall) spinning flax with her distaff. The spinning wheel was not invented until the 13th century in Asia. It did not get to France until the 18th century. Arthur was around the fifth century. All the actors played their parts well and did not outshine their characters. There may have been a few liberties with the tale. However, I enjoyed it to the end. Get another take on the story with Le Morte D'Arthur by Sir Thomas Malory and William Caxton.

The Mists of Avalon

The appearance and condition of ( The Mists of Avalon) is very good. The quality of the movie disc is excellent and at a great price. The DVD was packaged carefully and arrived on time. I’m a movie collector and I appreciate a seller who delivers what was described. I recommend and I look forward towards future movie purchases from this seller.

A Fun Fantasy Mini Series

It is no where near as good as the book like so many movies and series based on literary works. Great cast, lovely scenery, music and costuming. A bit of its time and rather cheesy but it is still a very fun show.

Broken…

I ordered 8 items in an order that came in about 6 different packages… all smashed… 7 movies and dvd cases broken… including this DVD.. the only thing that survived shipping was a collectors edition book because they shipped it more securely.. Was disheartening to say the least. especially after paying shipping and a customs fee… they do not ship nicely no protection.... there isn’t even a sticker to indicate fragile items.. disappointing unfortunately….
