"Yes Honey, he told me this morning when I was fixing breakfast. It didn't register with me until you were praying. Oh Matthew, this is wonderful, tell us all about it." Matthew beamed."Yeah brother, tell us all about it. It's hard for me to imagine you preaching, but God can do anything." James said laughingly.Matthew laughed and replayed last night's events for them. Life changed radically for Matthew after that night; he had spent the last two years at the University of Georgia studying agriculture andhorticulture. Now, however, things would change.Matthew's love of the outdoors had extended to a love for the soil. It thrilled his heart to see God's life in the soil. Matthew would plant little seeds and watch the results each day as God's water, sun and soil brought growth to the seeds. He praised God for the new resurgence of life each time the seeds burst into life.Matthew felt a closeness to God through the soil. Matthew seemed to feel God's presence in the soil. Matthew loved God and had planned to serve God by tilling the soil. He had wanted to learn all University of Georgia had to teach about agriculture and especially, horticulture."Son, in light of God's call are you still set on returning to the University of Georgia?" Matthew's father asked."Pa, you know I haven't even thought about that. I don't know. I just know I'm to preach." Matthew replied.Martha smiled, "My baby boy a preacher. Thank you Jesus." Matthew beamed again.Jamie smiled and shook his head as he said, "I still can't believe it.""Son, whatever you do preach or farm; I'll be proud of you if you do the best you can for the glory of God."
