By Charles Edmund DeLand

Book Overview

The book ""The Mis-Trials of Jesus"" by Charles Edmund DeLand is a comprehensive analysis of the trials of Jesus Christ as recorded in the Gospels of the New Testament. The author delves into the historical, legal, and religious context of the trials, examining the cultural and social factors that influenced the proceedings.DeLand provides a detailed account of the events leading up to Jesus' arrest, the various trials he underwent, and the verdicts that were handed down. He explores the roles of the various individuals involved in the trials, including the Jewish leaders, the Roman authorities, and the disciples of Jesus. The author also examines the legal procedures that were followed during the trials, highlighting the ways in which they deviated from standard legal practices. He argues that the trials were fundamentally flawed and unjust, and that Jesus was ultimately convicted and sentenced to death on false charges.Throughout the book, DeLand draws on a wide range of historical and theological sources to provide a nuanced and insightful analysis of the trials of Jesus. He offers a compelling argument for why these trials continue to be relevant and important to Christians and non-Christians alike, and provides readers with a deeper understanding of the events that led to the crucifixion of Jesus Christ. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
