The Mirror That Remembered Me

By Leticia Lilleström

What if the version of you that answered your thoughts... wasn't actually you?

Yasin Elrahim wakes in a desert that doesn't exist, guided by two enigmatic djinns - a sorrow-soaked Marid and a flame-wrapped Ifrit - who insist he's been editing his own memories just to survive. As he journeys through surreal rooms, fractured reflections, and forbidden truths, Yasin must confront the one question he's never dared to ask:

What did he forget on purpose?

From mirror twins to memory jars, whispered questions to erased childhoods, The Mirror That Remembered Me is a darkly comic, emotionally sharp psychological descent into identity, trauma, and the stories we tell to avoid breaking.

Blending myth, memory, and self-reconstruction, this novel explores the terrifying beauty of what happens when forgetting stops - and truth steps forward in your voice
