This beautiful story is not suited for young children. Three pages discuss his parents' inability to conceive for many years during which a nearby king abducted and tried to marry the wife/ his eventual mother. (Though that word was not used in the story.) It is a delightful story about Saint Tekla and the many miracles God performed through him. The pictures (of which there are 40 in this 32 page book) are colorful and reflect the Ethiopian culture from which this story comes. Indeed, the pictures were painted by an Ethiopian monk in the 18th century.
