Good Challenge to Be More Like Jesus

Hunt has written an excellent book on how God can transform you to become more like Jesus Christ through the power of the Holy Spirit. The book contains 13 chapters comprised of 4 sections: 1. The Mind of Christ. 2. To Be Like Christ. 3. A Name Above Every Name. 4. Now and Forever, Amen. This is not just another book exhorting the reader to try to live like Christ, but rather allow the Holy Spirit to work through the believer to become more like Christ. There is a difference between the two ways! Read and enjoy. Highly recommended!

To Be More Like Jesus.......

This book is at the top of my "highly recommended" reading list. But, you don't just read this book - you get lost in it. The truths that are written within this book make you stop and pause in wonder. There is much to meditate and reflect on as you take in the words. A must read!

I continue to read this book over and over. I get something new each time. I have underlined so many parts of the book that when I recommend it to my friends and family they comment that it's time to get a new copy. I plan to get copies of the book for several friends this Christmas. I thought that I had it all until I began to read this book. If you want to know where you stand in your walk with God, just read this book,you will read it, and read it again and again.

The Mind Of Christ is a life-changing study of the beattitudes and Phillipians 2:4-12. I was encouraged and learned such practical application of this small portion of scripture to my life. It indeed changed me and my thinking and I have begun to do this study again. I encourage anyone who wants to grow in the Lord to do this study. You will certainly be blessed and learn more than you ever thought possible.

How to find the only perfect role model for your life

If you are new to Christianity or just trying to learn more about Christianity, this book may not be a good choice. The Mind of Christ is a very convicting book that could scare the immature Christian or potential Christian yet-to-be. The idea of becoming like Christ with our thoughts and actions is uncomfortable to most of us. This book forces the reader to think about the stengths and weaknesses in ourselves, how Satan uses our weaknesses against us, and how we can use our strengths for God's will. The book will step the reader through a process of evaluating his/her sins, then lay a foundation that will help the reader prepare to combat these sins one-by-one. I read it in less than 3 hours on an east-bound flight to New York while sitting next to a member of the Kennedy family (who will remain nameless). He was inquisitive about the book so I took the opportunity to witness to him about Jesus Christ and how the secular world has so often misunderstood what is said in the Bible and that the Bible is the key to understanding the mind of Christ; the only perfect role model for us all.
