The Mind Behind the Mind: How Ritual, Creativity, and Science Reveal Our Deeper Intelligence

By: Bennett, James

What if the subconscious wasn't just personal-but shared? In *The Mind Behind the Mind*, artist and teacher James Bennett explores the hidden architecture of human intelligence through ritual, creativity, and science. Drawing from ancient dream temples, alchemical traditions, and modern neuroscience, this book traces humanity's enduring quest to access the Core Mind-a field of knowing beneath thought. Through evocative storytelling and practical exercises, Bennett guides readers in forming deeper connections with the subconscious. Techniques include mirror gazing, breathwork, fire rituals, and symbolic design-each rooted in historical practice and adapted for modern seekers. Along the way, the book reclaims ethical tools like Hellstromism (muscle reading) and Cold Reading as methods of attunement and presence, not manipulation. Influences range from Carl Jung and Ram Dass to contemporary researchers like David Eagleman and Susan Magsamen. Whether you're an artist, healer, teacher, or curious mind, this book offers more than insight-it offers invitation. To live realistically. To create with presence. To participate in a field of resonance that connects us all.
