Moving home to the country offered Kate the chance to make a comfortable, secure life for herself. But there was a complication--her ex-fianc , millionaire Jack Logan. He was still gorgeous--and the attraction between them was electric It would have been easy for Kate to let Jack seduce her. But if Jack learned the truth, would he be so keen to reclaim his runaway bride?
First of all, let me say that the title does not represent the book. The hero is well off, but not a millionaire, and the heroine was a runaway fiancee, not bride. The H/h met and were together in their early twenties, broke up and met again a decade later. I usually hate these stories, because the plot always goes that the hero is sleeping with anyone female and the heroine doesn't even look at another man.(a bit sick, IMO) Well, this does not happen in this book. For once ( a miracle in HPs) the heroine is not afraid of her sexuality, has had other boyfriends during the years, and does not melt as soon as she sees him again. She leads him a merry chase, and makes him work for forgiveness. As the other reviewer pointed out, there is a surprise near the end of the story. I didn't see it coming and made the book even better!
Good short read

I read this book basically because it was set in England. The book read really fast and the dialogue between the characters was very interesting. There was one thing that I never saw coming...and it was such a shock! I will not spoil it by telling it here, but it really made things interesting. I have to say I was quite taken with Jack Logan and his dog, Bran, and not the fact he was a millionaire. He just seemed very manly to me.
