Sent this PB to my son in Iraq. He enjoyed it. An easy, but interesting read.

pithy and possibly true

The quotations selected for this book are not long passages, but succinct observations. All the best remembered generals and statesmen are quoted, as well as humanists and pacifists. Many antique illustrations, which add a great deal of interest. 152 pages, indexed. This small, attractive book is a great stocking-stuffer.
