A Latter-day Persperctive on the Lost Tribes

The following is a synopsis of this book's Chapter 1. Introduction The Ten Tribes of Israel were dispersed by design to fufill the prophecies of the latter days and the coming restoration of the Gospel. The allegory of the Olive Tree in the Book of Mormon tells the story of the lost tribes but this is ignored by most teachers. The migrations to the West would lead to the eventual mixing of Israel with the Turks and migrations into Central Asia, India and points farther east. The Israelites carried with them the ideas of religious and political freedoms which are essential ingredients for the Restoration of the Gospel. Chapter 2 is a review of the history of the House of Israel, the division of the kingdom, and the dispersion into Assyria after the death of Solomon. Chapters 3, 4, and 5 recounts Israel's experiences during the captivity and the mixing and migrations during this time. Chapter 6 discusses Israel's history during the Parthian Empire. Chapter 7 details the prophecies on the fate of Israel and the coming emergence of a reunited Israel. Chapter 8 discusses the "Allegory of the Olive Tree" and how Israel mixed with the Greek, Iazyges, Cossack and Armenian peoples. Chapter 9 tells of Israel's mixing with the Serbs, Croats, Khazars, Heptalites and their migrations through the Czech lands into Norway. Chapter 10 summarizes the Parthian Empire's escape to Armenia which set the stage for Christianity to enter Western Europe. Chapter 11 reports on the Middle Eastern Israelites who converted to Islam and the stories of the Chorasmians, Sogdians and Israelite Buddhists.
