THE Middle Aged Text Book

This is an indispensable text for school history, presenting the bones of historical fact with a smattering of primary source evidence and the merest hint of personal judgement. It is an excellent base for teachers from which to start discussions on key topics, containing enough information to get developing minds racing. Most importantly however the book is mercifully free of the patronising attitude prevalent in many school texts, and I would recommend it particularly for pupils looking to bolster their given textbooks.
