One of the Best

This is one of the best books in the Animorphs. It is also a crucial part of the series. I have read this book at least ten times. Cassie is my favorite Animorph, and this is the first book told from her point of view. It's generally about the Animorphs adventuring under the sea to find out whether someone is down there calling to them, but there were lots of smaller bits that I really liked.

This book is out of this world!

If you love dolphins, whales and aliens then you'll love this book! Do you remember Elfangor from the first book? Did you know he had a little brother? I don't want to give away any more of the story, so I'll just say I thought it was very exciting.

Down in the deep blue sea...

Cassie, Jake, Rachel, Marco, and Tobias have been given the power to morph, change nto any animal they touch. They have to use this power to defeat the Yeerks, a slug-like species who wants to control the human race by taking over their brains. They have been through terrible things and have had strange dreams as a result. But when Cassie and Tobias start having the same dream about the sea, the Animorphs (the kids) decide to investigate. All of them (except for Tobias who is stuck as a hawk) morph dolphins and swim in the ocean looking for whoever sent those dreams. Is he friend or foe? "The Message" is just like all the others in the series: super thriller!

READ THE MESSAGE IT'S AWESOME

I recently read the book Animorphs #4 The Message. I have also read other books in the series. I would recommend this and other books in the series to a friend. I like how the novel are filled with details. They are so detailed I can see pictures in my mind. I like how K. A. Applegate incorporates science fiction with every day stuff. The kids are about my age and the town is similar. I can really relate to the school issues and what they are doing outside morphing. In this book I really like the suspense and humor of this story. It sounds so real and makes you stop and think. I also like how the author put it in a narrative or first person, using I, we, etc. In the first book # The Invasion five ordinary kids are given the power to morph by a dying alien. Now they can transform or morph into animals. The must first touch the animal and acquire its DNA. They must use their power to aid the galactic battle against the hideous Yeerks. There story continues through #2 and #3. Then #4 begins in the U.S. in an unknown town in a unknown state. (for the characters safety. This one is narrated by Cassie. It all started when Cassie and Tobias, who is stuck in Hawk form have strange ocean dreams. In this dreams a someone or something calls them. It is later identified as a lost Andalite. The plan to rescue the out of towner from the murky depths of the ocean floor. The receive help from a friendly whale and they run into trouble along the way. Will they find the Andalite and safely rescue him or perish by the impending danger? To find out read Animorphs #4 The Message.

Realy good book; I especially liked the ending.

The Animorphs. Rachel, Cassie, Marco, Jake, and Tobias. The book opens with Cassie acquiring a squerril morph. She morphs, and the instant the morph is complete, a fox comes in and tries to catch her. Thankfully, Tobais flies in and rescues her. Once Cassie and Tobias get to talking, Cassie explains why she was up at three in the morning, turning into a rodent. She had a dream. Tobias cuts her off, telling about a dream he had, where a voice calls out from the sea. Later, the whole Animorph group gathers in Rachel's bedroom, disussing how Tob and Cass could have had the exact same dream. They watch a taped news broadcast, where a man hold up a peice of metal that had washed up on the beach. Cassie and Tobias immediatley have the same dream, only now they can hear the voice distinctivley. "If you can hear me, come." So they acquire dolphin morphs and ehad on out to sea. The Animoprhs are positive that it's an Andalite trying to reach them. And where there's a helpless Andalite...there's Yeerks. Now it's a race. Who will find the Andalite first? Later, after saving a humpback whale from sharks, the Animorphs dscover a huge dome. In it, are trees and grasses and lakes and rivers, all of it, in one huge, underwater dome. Cassie and the others swim into an airlock, demorph, enter, and are knocked unconcius as they are fired at. When Casie waks uop, she sees an Andalite, staring hard at her, pointing a weapon. Meet Aximilli. One of my favorite books. Not only because they get these really great dolphin morphs, but because they first meet Aximilli. And, despite what others say, I loved the last scene, where Cassie dances with the dolphins. I'd definatley reccomend this book to anyone.
