The story of the first Christmas - the birth of Jesus Christ in Bethlehem 2000 years ago - told simply in poetry and paintings. For children of all ages. A picture paints 1000 words. These paintings recapture the beauty and wonder of the beginnings of time, and the first Christmas, in a contemporary setting - universally appealing and relevant, as caretakers of our fragile planet - and the message of love, which sustains it. In 2014, Angela discovered an old Christmas card featuring an angel, a dove and a star. Initially she was inspired to design, paint and print her own Christmas cards, with the same elements present. While that painting was in progress, the story grew. Yes, the angel, dove and star have a part to play and become the last of a series of eight paintings. They are accompanied by a poem she wrote concurrently, to become The Message. It was initially exhibited in the new 'Cardboard' Cathedral in Christchurch, New Zealand, built after the 2011 earthquake. A message of hope, enjoyed by many. Now this little book allows this precious message to be shared and enjoyed around the world.
