If all books were this easy to read, I'd be reading more often! Excellent guideline for developing success and a balanced lifestyle, built into a great story. The book is based around a guy that we all can relate to. He is stuck in a rut, and learns from the Mentor about the 10 rules to success while traveling around the country meeting other sucsessful past students of the Mentor.Claude Diamond is a amazing guy to talk to as well! very motivational !

I found this book to be a pleasure to read from the first page. The narative tapes by Mr. Diamond tapes great for my Dad who has sight problems and loves books.The story seems to weave around a self pitying character named Ralph who discovers the secrets of success fromThe Mentor Max while jetting all around the world meeting other millionaires .Good value Joe

claude is good

I frankly thought this would be another amaturish goody two shoes success book but this Claude guy has something special. I bought the book and listened to the narration tapes in the car and then I called with the free mentoring gift certificate included. I don't know too many authors so it was real thrill to be able to speak with a real author millionaire.I love the 10 rules of success and have them on my desk. and I use them to motivate me every day.Good Stuff- Debby

Horatio Alger Story of Success

I love rags to riches type stories and the Mentor fits the bill. I needed a good dose of motivation and found it in this very original and enjoyable novel. This story would make a good flick.

Finally, a readable book on success

I have "started" to read every success book from Anthony Robbins to Dale Carnegie. I say started because I usually leave the book unread with bookmarks within it gathering dust on some shelf somewhere. There are a few I have finished like chicken soup for the soul, one minute manager, Og Mandino and Claude Diamonds "The Mentor, A Story of Success. The book grabbed me from the first page when I learned about the typical hard working miserable American soul called Ralph.A drone with bills, a bad air conditioner in his car and never enough money even to but a latte. Ralph who just can't get seem to get ahead even though he has followed all the "conventional " rules of success.He meets the mysterious billionaire Max who teaches him all his secrets of success while taking him all around the world in his private jet or limo.The ending is surprisingly original and make one hungry for more of this style of writing.My only criticism is that I wish Mr. Diamond had other books of this genre published. I like a book that reads like a novel but teaches at the same time. This is my kind of read.
