Liberal Theology at it's best

Harry Emerson Fosdick, lived in an era not unlike ours. Fundamentalism was starting to define the Christian experience, and irrationality was at work fighting science in the schools - introducing Biblical notions as fact rather than metaphor, etc.. Fosdick was a scholar and a major influence on mainstream Christian thought in the 1920's. His ideas are just as relevant today.
