The Heritage of the McNeill and Campbell dates back to the mid-1700's in the Eastern portion of Cumberland County, NC. In the 1855 a portion of Cumberland County became Harnett County. The McNeill Story is dated back to Sara McNeill and we believe her husband's name was Sherd McNeill. We were able to locate twelve children using DNA. These siblings were sold and or moved throughout the United States with the descendants of the slave owner Archibald McNeill and others. Through DNA we have made connections in the following states: Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, Utah, Arkansas, Ohio, and Missouri.
