Coyote Springs was a thriving small town just a week's drive south of Dodge City, Kansas. It was on a well-used cattle trail that stretched all the way to Dodge from the wild Lone-Star State of Texas. The place was known as a wide-open town, which catered to trail drivers of any size herd. That was the very reason the town existed. It was not as wild as the famous Dodge City, but was where weary cowboys from Texas, or anywhere else, could let off some pent-up steam after months on a long, very dangerous indian infested trail.
