I have had the privelage to take many classes with Ms.Harris and her recipes are wonderful. I have bought many books of this title to give as gifts. There is something in here for everyone and all the recipes turn out like you are a trained chef. Her flavors are incredible. One caution is that her spicey ingredients tend to be hot, so cut back if you prefer less heat, but the flavor will still be incredible. Wonderful instructor and delightful radio host. A true treasure for Cincinnati. If you are a beginner cook or an experienced cook this is the book for you. Her Bourbon marinade for flank steak can't be beat. The dry rubs and marinades give wonderful flavor to enhance your product. Can't say enough good things about this book. Many of the salads travel well for those family gatherings. Could not be without this one. Holiday and everyday recipes are just very good.

It is not immediately obvious from scanning the ingredient list just how wonderful these recipes will taste. But wonderful they are, due to the complexity of flavors. Some of the standouts are Ginger Lime Beef Tenderloin with apple pear chutney (great raves from guests), creamy curried chicken, grilled pork tenderloin salad with mango and avocado and the apple blackberry crisp. You can't go wrong, her recipes work!
