The Mantis Story: A true story

A true story about an injured praying mantis that appeared in my kitchen, along with the ensuing story over almost a year which involved a discussion and many photos uploaded to a photography forum including her feeding, laying eggs, eating various items including crickets, an earthworm, roast lamb and finally cat food when the insects ran out. Though she could not use one claw properly she got by with a little help - cheered on by her fans across the globe on the internet. Her death brought tears to people on the other side of the world followed by tears of joy as the babies hatched months later. There are over 200 images plus the copied and pasted discussions that took place with a freshly written introduction and conclusion. As close to a 'unique' story as you can get these days.
